The Ellicott Creek Fire Company Honor Guard was established in 2006. The team's primary responsibility is to represent the Fire Company at funerals of both active and inactive members. This would include offering any assistance needed to the family of the deceased, providing pall bearers, standing Honor Guard "watch" at the casket, posting colors, ringing a fire bell "Last Alarm," bagpipers, fire truck display, and coordinating any logistical plans with the funeral home. If requested, the Honor Guard will travel to other cities to both represent the Ellicott Creek Fire Company and assist that department with arrangements.

The Honor Guard also participates in various civic functions when requested, such as flag raising ceremonies, veteran memorial dedications, etc.

Participation in the Honor Guard is voluntary, utilizing active, inactive and exempt members of the company.

Request for Honor Guard services should be made through the Office of the Fire Chief.
